Welcome to Taunton Bike Club. We are a Club Mark approved British Cycling club for children and young people.

OUR CLUB SUCCESSFULLY RELAUNCHED IN  SPRING 2025 with a  programme of fun activities. Initially we are concentrating on providing events for children aged  5-14 years (we can also consider confident riders age 4 who have good balance).

HOW TO JOIN IN

1.  BECOME A CONTACT
a. Click on blue 'connect' button on top right of home page of the website.   
b.'Create account' using parent's email and parent's name.  
c. You will now get an email which you have to verify.  
d. Once verified the parent is registered as a 'contact' of bike Club then you can book your child/children on to events.

2. COMPLETE + SEND CONSENT FORM (click link)
consent form must be completed before the first session. 
After signing please scan/ photo (high resolution please) and send to jonathan.tauntonbikeclub@mail.tidyhq.com Alternatively you may type your name (not your child's name) in the signature box and email using your personal email

3.JOIN AN ACTIVITY
a. login to this website.     
b. select event     
c. click on 'get tickets' (New riders- select ‘guest ticket')   
d. change 'Qty' from zero to one (or more if several members of family)    
e. go to 'checkout'   f. enter emergency and pick up details  
g. proceed to payment (tickets are free)   
h. 'buyer info' may be requested if you have not logged in.   
i submit order - no need to print tickets
PLEASE NOTE If you decline 'photos allowed' section then you should inform the coach(es) of each event your child attends.

4. PAY FOR ACTIVITY
£2.50/event which is paid to Taunton Bike Club by BACS. sort code 09-01-28 account 02065079 
No charge for club leaders + parent helpers + guest riders (1st session only)
(Please note we the website payment system does not work as we are not registered with STRIPE)

5. BECOME A CLUB MEMBER (click link)
Membership is £6/year and is payable after ‘taster’ first session.
select 'join our club' then membership 2025.    
Use the name and details of the rider (not parent).
Please save the British Cycling number as it may be needed for booking events.

6. JOIN BRITISH CYCLING (click link)
Insurance: British Cycling offers liability insurance for all types of riding and competing. 
This is particularly important for club members, who require it for their club's rides. 
Legal Support: They provide free legal support in the event of an accident. 
Discounts: Members receive discounts on various cycling-related products and services. 
Event Access: Membership provides access to a wide range of cycling events 
Supports development of cycling infrastructure, children's programs, and volunteer/coach support.
