Before joining a night ride you should have been to at least one skill session. BRIGHT FRONT + REAR LIGHTS, Helmet, lots of warm layers, waterproofs, small ruck sack, gloves, small snack, bottle of water are needed. This week there will be an off road joint ride for senior and junior riders. During the winter we hold our skill sessions in Wellington on a flood lit hardcourt area. Please do not ride in car park or on footpath. This will be Bike Club's first event at Norton Manor Camp. At Norton Manor there is a perimeter trail and sports area where we will organise a variety of activities. BOOKING FOR THE SESSION CLOSES AT 18.00 ON Friday 1st MARCH. ANY PARENT STAYING FOR THE SESSION MUST ADD THERE NUMBER PLATE DETAILS TO THE BOOKING Please do not turn up to the session without having booked - (M.O.D. properties need to know who will be attending)

What is a Park Ride ? We have a circuit of 1 km at the Silk Mills park and ride which you ride around several times. It is a bit like a 'park run' and it helps you to improve your stamina. You keep a record of your time and see if you can gradually improve over a series of 'park rides' 'Under 8' (born 2010 onwards) ride 3 circuits. 'Under 12' (2006-2007) +'Under 14' (2004-2005) ride 5 circuits, Under 16 (2002-2003) ride 7 circuits.  The park run is a simple 'time trial' We then offer some skills/ fun activities Parents of new riders must complete the consent form (on the website). Crowcombe Park Gate

Crowcombe park gate to Beacon Hill is the route we will ride. OS map. GPX  Route card (click on links to dowload details). The ride is over 7 miles on rough track. Weather 7 degrees centigrade, sun + cloud, bring lots of warm layers, thick gloves, change of clothes for after the ride, rucsac, several small snack bars and a drink (e.g. ribena or warm chcocolate in a small flask).
