The Return of Sunday Skills at Silk Mills - 11th April
Silk Mills Park and Ride,TA1 5AA
10:30 – 12:00
Following the recent changes which allow organised outdoor sport to resume, we are restarting our coaching sessions at Silk Mills Park and Ride on Sunday mornings (every fortnight).  In order to keep the group to a manageable size, we are limiting the total number of riders to 30 and they will be split into smaller groups based on age and ability. This first event is open to existing club members and new members who have previously attended a session.  As we move forward, we will allow new riders to join, provided that we have sufficient space for you to attend.   We will be closing online bookings at 12pm on Saturday 10th April If you are not booked in, you will not be able to attend the session. Sign in is at 10.20am and as soon as you are signed in we will ask you to start warming up and be ready to ride at 10.30. You will need to bring your own : bike (we suggest tyres that are suitable for riding on grass) helmet water bottle snack warm layers and waterproof if wet £2 session fee in a named envelope. Exact change only as we will not be able to give any change. We will be unable to share or lend any equipment during this session. In line with current government guidelines, masks or face coverings are not required if social distancing is maintained. At this stage using face masks or coverings is a personal choice but it should not restrict breathing.  Riders could use a buff around their neck which is easy to remove. We are asking parents to undertake a comprehensive bike check prior to arrival at the session, as coaches will be unable to make any adjustments, in line with current guidance. Parents - Spectators are not permitted in any indoor or outdoor sport facility until a later step in the British Cycling roadmap.  This doesn’t apply to carers for disabled people, or adults needed to supervise under-18s in a safeguarding role. Where it’s necessary for them to be present, supervising adults should not mix with others from outside their household or support bubble. If you or anyone in your household is showing any symptoms of Covid-19 prior to the event, you must not attend. Following an event, should any riders develop or show any symptons of Covid-19, we ask you to contact the club coaches for Track and Trace purposes. This is our second session back since lockdown where we will be implementing the most recent British Cycling guidance on resuming club activities. This event is open to existing club members, those who have previously attended sessions and new members.  We are limited on numbers to a maximum of 20 riders and will be coaching in bubbles/groups of up to 6 (including a dedicated group coach). We will be following social distancing guidelines and will be keeping 2 metres apart.  We will be sending detailed guidance to riders once all online bookings have been made.  As such, we will be closing online bookings at 11pm on Friday 24th July. This will allow us to group riders based on bicycle type and skills levels. You will then recieve an email on Saturday, detailing your 'group assembly point' and other important information. If you are not booked in, you will not be able to attend the session. You will need to bring your own : bike (we suggest tyres that are suitable for riding on grass) helmet water bottle snack £2 session fee in a named envelope. Exact change only as we will not be able to give any change. We will be unable to share or lend any equipment during this session. You do NOT require a facemask. We are asking parents to undertake a comprehensive bike check prior to arrival at the session, as coaches will be unable to make any adjustments, in line with current guidance. Parents - if you are staying during the session, please can we remind you of the social distancing guidelines of 2 metres and you will be required to view from a 'spectators' area of no more than 6 people. You will not be able to join the coaching groups. If you or anyone in your household is showing any symptoms of Covid-19 prior to the event, you must not attend.
