It’s on Friday 25th February between 11am and 1pm at Newport. 12 places are available and it is £15 for club members, £20 for members of other British Cycling affiliated clubs and £25 for non-members. This includes the bike hire. We are subsidising the cost again and this is what some of your annual membership and weekly subs of £2 goes towards. Let Bryn (email link) know if you want to reserve a place and don't forget to pay on the day.

CANCELLED DUE AMBER WEATHER WARNING What is a Park Ride ? We have a circuit of 1 km at the Silk Mills park and ride which you ride around several times. It is a bit like a 'park run' and it helps you to improve your stamina. You keep a record of your time and see if you can gradually improve over a series of 'park rides' The park ride is a simple form of a 'time trial' We also offer some skills/ fun activities Parents of new riders must complete the consent form  (click on link). For younger riders there will be a ride along routes near the River Tone. Meet at Hickleys car park. Older more experienced riders (must be at least 12 years old) will have a road ride The club has Hi vis jackets Please bring helmet, bright front and rear lights, spare inner tube, drink of water, small snack (e.g. banana), small rucsac, suitable clothing (warm layers, waterproofs, and a bike in good working order. Parents and riders are welcome to come to the AGM. We will be planning for 2020 We will be meeting in the Conference Room at the Albemarle Centre (upstairs) Please let us know who is coming by signing up for the event. Riders and parents are welcome. Nearest parking is the Belvedere Road car park (near the swimming pool/ council offices). PLEASE RETURN ALL CLUB SHIRTS ARE NO LONGER NEEDED/ NEED TO BE SWAPPED FOR A DIFFERENT SIZE Riders who have attended 3 or more can borrow a club shirt (£15 deposit)

Riding on the Quantocks is very tiring and the weather can be harsh (strong winds, cold and wet). Mountain bike rides are not suitable for those who are not confident riders. SPARE INNER TUBE, Lots of warm layers, long sleeves, waterproofs, small snacks (e.g. fruesli bar, sweets), water, helmet and ruck sack are essential. Drop handle bar bikes, narrow tyres and full face helmets are not allowed.  It is sensible to have a map and route guidance - please print attachments MAP ROUTE CARD  and if you have a garmin GPX file can be downloaded to your device Leader Jonathan (link to email and phone number)
